Forest Bathing Nature Walk

Forest Bathing Nature Walk

Hosted by the Light Center

For Kids ages 5-10. Cost $14
An opportunity to support your child to foster a healthy connection to the medicine of Mother Nature.  Forest bathing, also known as Shinrin-Yoku, is a Japanese wellness practice that connects people to the healing power of Nature through sensory immersion.  Bring your 5-10 year old out to our farm to spend time learning how to tap into the deeper wisdom Nature has to offer.

Shannon Gorres, of Divine Nature Therapy will be guiding this walk to provide your child with an opportunity to learn how to channel their emotional Nature into creative expressions using Nature as their guide.  This is a wonderful opportunity to help your child find ways to tap into greater peace and stability while they are young and deeply imaginative.  Studies have shown that consistent time in Nature fosters lower cortisol levels as well as greater mental stability, which means overall less angst in those who partake in this practice.

Parents are encouraged to stay on site as well during this time to have their own separate experience in Nature as the children explore.  Please bring a snack and water bottle as well as weather appropriate gear for muddy times.
